Remote Hand Held Scanners - for Dispatch & Delivery

Thank you all for your feedback on the Datalogic Blackjet device. For those unfamiliar with the device, it is a hand held terminal with a built in barcode scanner that can be used remotely and connect to your system either through a wireless connection or using a 'mobile phone like' GPS data connection.

Feedback is currently that the hardware unit can be slow and unreliable, so we are currently carrying out further tests with the device to attempt to improve its performance and reliability. We are also investigating other hardware devices with the view to developing a full mobile application for smartphones and therefore take advantage of the new devices and technologies coming to the domestic market place this year.

Our aim is the possibility to extend the reach of your TotalControlPro system far beyond the scope of your factory/office installation and your internet connected PC - and into field of mobile wireless.
